Every page here was coloured by someone who bought the book and sat down with it. No professional work, no digital touch-ups — which is the point. This is what the books look like when a real person finishes one.
What you are looking at
Submissions from readers, posted as they arrive. Pencil, marker, gel pen, and a fair amount of “I ran out of green”. Nothing is curated for skill — pages get picked for the colour choices that surprised us.
How to be featured
Post your finished page and tag us, or email it to support@thenookart.com. Tell us which book it came from and what you used. We ask before we post anything.
Photographing a page
Daylight near a window, phone held flat above the page, no flash. Flash flattens marker and turns pencil grain into glare. A slightly crooked photo in good light beats a straight one under a ceiling bulb.
What makes a page worth showing
Not neatness. The pages that stop us are the ones where somebody made a decision — a three-colour palette held all the way through, a background left white on purpose, a sky coloured at two in the morning in whatever pen was nearest. Staying inside the lines is the easy part and the least interesting.
You keep the rights
Sending a page does not sign anything away. It stays yours; you are giving us permission to show it here and on our social accounts, with credit if you want it. We ask before we post, we never licence it on, and we take it down the day you ask us to.
