Deleting your account

If you have used The Nook Art mobile app and want your account and its data removed, here is exactly what to do and what happens afterwards.

How to request deletion

Deletion is requested from inside the app, so that the request is tied to the account it belongs to and nobody can close someone else’s account on their behalf.

Open the The Nook Art app on your device.
Go to Profile → Settings → Account & security.
Choose Delete account and confirm.

You will be signed out immediately. The account cannot be recovered afterwards, so download anything you want to keep before you confirm.

What is deleted

Your personal information and email address.
Your profile, including any display name and photo.
Your activity logs — what you opened, saved and favourited.

What is kept, and for how long

Records tied to a completed transaction, or that we are required to keep by law, are retained for a maximum of 90 days from the date of the request and are then removed. Nothing in that set is used to contact you or to build a profile; it exists only so that an order can be reconciled or an audit answered.

Once the retention window closes, your account and everything associated with it are permanently deleted from our systems.

If something goes wrong

If you cannot reach the setting — for example the app will not sign you in — email support@thenookart.com from the address on the account and say that you want it deleted. We will confirm in writing when it is done.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete the account. The two are separate, which is why this page exists.
